Houston Montessori Center is dedicated to the advocacy of children and adolescents through Montessori teacher education. Consistent with the philosophy and practices exemplified by the American Montessori Society (AMS), we use current research on children, adolescent, and adult learning to prepare lifelong learners to be independent, competent, responsible and caring citizens.
Our Montessori Teacher Courses
Houston Montessori Center offers an Integrated Onsite and Online Model for all of our teacher courses, which combines the effectiveness of face-to-face education with the convenience of a remote learning experience.
We are one of the only centers in the world to offer seven AMS-affiliated credential courses to our adult learners. Utilizing a team-teaching approach, we guide the adult learner through two phases: academic and practicum. Our skilled teaching staff of experienced mentors, instructors, and field consultants are grounded in Montessori philosophy as well as the most up-to-date research in the fields of education, and human growth and development to prepare all our adult learners for the classroom and beyond.
