Sherry Herron

Sherry has a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Liberal Arts from Centenary College, Shreveport, Louisiana. She later earned her Master of Education in Educational Administration from the University of St. Thomas. 

She earned her Early Childhood Credential from  the American Montessori Society and also completed studies in London, England at the  Saint Nicholas Montessori Education for Children Ages 2 1/2 to 7 years.

Sherry is currently the Head of School at School of the Woods in Houston, Texas where she served as a Montessori teacher of early childhood and elementary children and also as a Consultant-teacher trainer in the past. 

Before joining School of the Woods she was a Research Technician at the Immunology Research Lab, Internal Medicine Department at University of Virginia Medical School, Charlottesville, Virginia.

She is also the Treasurer of the Board of Directors at  Houston Montessori Teacher Education Center.
